Two women were injured after they were struck by a hit-and-run driver on the 2300 block of Carril Al Lago Drive in Denton, TX. Officers with the Denton Police say the accident occurred around 2:12 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025.

Authorities report the women were sitting on a bench along Carril Al Lago when they were struck by the vehicle, believed to be a 2014 or ’15 dark colored Kia Optima. Both women were transported to a nearby trauma center, one with critical injures and the other with serious injuries. Authorities are searching for the vehicle, and the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
