Details:
On or about Monday, December 6th, 2021, around 7:40 in the morning, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of one woman and sent a man to the hospital. Deputies from the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along the Lincoln Highway in East Lampeter Township, Pennsylvania.
Police officer said 24-year-old Tyeanna Monae Morris was killed and 22-year-old Tyjmere Edwards was injured when the vehicle they were in allegedly crossed over the center line of Lincoln Highway and collided with a tractor-trailer in the oncoming lanes. Emergency responders rushed Morris and Edwards to the hospital where Morris succumbed to her injuries a short time after her arrival.
According to Google Maps, East Lampeter Township is about 65 miles east of downtown Philadelphia.
Officials are still working to pin down the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
