Details:
On or about Saturday, October 16th, 2021, around 3:00 in the morning, an accident between a pedestrian and a tractor-trailer left a 45-year-old man from Antioch dead. Troopers from the TSP said the accident was reported along Interstate 24 in Rutherford County, Tennessee.
Authorities from the area said 45-year-old Tyson Green was killed when he was allegedly hit by a passing tractor-trailer as he was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of Interstate 24 near Almaville Road. Paramedics pronounced Green dead of his injuries a short time after the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries stemming from the accident.
Officials believe Green may have been at the scene of a previous accident at the time he was hit.
Police are still working to pin down all the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
