On or about Wednesday, March 10th, 2021, around 3:15 in the afternoon, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer left a 32-year-old woman dead. Deputies from the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened on the westbound side of Interstate 40 in West Memphis, Arkansas.

Troopers from the ASP said 32-year-old Valdmar Brown was killed when her car allegedly slammed into the back of a tractor-trailer that was slowing in order to turn into a nearby weigh station. Valdmar was pronounced dead of her injuries at the scene of the accident. Police did not mention any additional injuries stemming from the crash.

According to Google Maps, Interstate 40 cuts east and west through the center of West Memphis, which is just across the Mississippi River from Memphis, Tennessee.

State Police are investigating the accident.
