On or about Monday, March 7th, 2022, around 5:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an 18-wheeler sent one person to the hospital. Deputies from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported at the intersection of State Road 26 and Beverley Burke Road near Royal City, Washington.

Spokespeople from the Washington State Patrol said 70-year-old Victor Garza was injured when the tractor-trailer he was driving an an 18-wheeler driven by Miguel Gomez collided when one of the truck was attempting a turn at SR 26 and Beverley Burke Road. Emergency responders rushed Garza to Samaritain Hospital in Moses Lake with injuries of an unknown nature or severity stemming from the accident.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Royal City, which is situated about 154 miles southeast of downtown Seattle.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident.
