On or about Saturday, January 1st, 2022, sometime in the morning hours, a serious single-vehicle rollover car accident claimed the life of a 22-year-old woman from San Antonio. Law enforcement representatives from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 10 in Crockett County, Texas.

Troopers from the Texas DPS said 22-year-old Victoria Bianca Garcia was killed and Noah Emmanuel Terell was injured when the vehicle they were in allegedly skidded off the side of westbound I-10 and rolled multiple times a short distance off the pavement. Garcia was pronounced dead of her injuries at the scene, while the driver, Terrell, was taken by paramedics to Shannon Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

According to Google Maps, Interstate 10 cuts east and west through the center of Crockett County, which is about 216 miles northwest of downtown San Antonio.

Officials are still working to pin down the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
