Details:
On or about Friday, November 26th, 2021, around 4:00 in the morning, a suspected drunk driving accident left a 21-year-old woman dead and sent a 22-year-old man to the hospital. Deputies from the Burleson County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Farm-to-Market 975 just outside Caldwell, Texas.
Troopers from the Texas Department of Public Safety said 21-year-old Victoria Pineda was killed when the pickup truck she was a passenger in allegedly skidded off the side of Farm-to-Market 975 when it slammed into a utility pole a short distance off the pavement. Paramedics pronounced Pineda dead of her injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the accident.
Officials identified the driver of the pickup truck as 22-year-old Blake Botkin, who currently faces an intoxication manslaughter charge in connection with the incident.
Botkin was treated for unspecified injuries after the crash.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance south of Caldwell.
