On or about Sunday, April 10th, 2022, around 7:32 in the morning, a major single-vehicle car accident left one person dead and sent three other individuals to the hospital. Representatives from the ASP said the accident was reported along the eastbound side of Interstate 30 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Troopers from the Arkansas State Police said 45-year-old Vicente Mejia-Soto was killed, while 38-yar-old Jorge Hernandez, 46-year-old Mario Ordonez, and 30-year-old Jose Sergio were injured when the Ford F-250 pickup truck they were in allegedly suffered a steering malfunction and crashed. After the initial accident, the pickup truck burst into flames. Mejia-Soto died of his injuries a short time after the accident, while Hernandez, Ordonez, and Sergio were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

According to Google Maps, Interstate 30 cuts east and west through Little Rock.

Police are still investigating the accident.
