Details:
On or about Tuesday, November 17th, 2020, around 3:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a cyclist and a utility truck left a 70-year-old woman dead. Investigators said the accident happened at the intersection of Blue Hills Parkway and Eliot Street in Milton, Massachusetts.
Authorities said 70-year-old Virginia Chalmers was riding her bike when she was allegedly hit by utility truck that was turning onto Eliot from northbound Blue Hills Parkway. First responders pronounced Chalmers dead of her injuries at the scene.
Examining the area on Google Streetview shows Blue Hills Parkway is a three lane, northbound only roadway. Eliot is two lanes that run east and west. Milton is situated about 10 miles south of downtown Boston.
Police hope to release the findings of their investigation at a later date.
