Details:
On or about Tuesday, February 1st, 2022, around 4:30 in the afternoon, a serious single-vehicle car accident left one individual dead. Authorities from the area said the accident was reported along Farm-to-Market Road 400 near County Road 7500 in Lubbock, Texas.
Investigators said 66-year-old Virginia Hernandez was killed when the SUV she was in allegedly drove off the side of FM 400 and crashed into a ditch a short distance off the pavement. Paramedics pronounced Hernandez dead of her injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident. Emergency responders transported two other passengers to the hospital, while the driver was treated at the scene.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance north of Idalou.
Police are still investigating the accidnet.
