Details:
On or about Thursday, September 23rd, 2021, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an 18-wheeler left one man dead and sent another person to the hospital. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 84 outside of Snyder in Scurry County, Texas.
Officials from the Texas DPS said Vladimir Cruz Soris was killed and his passenger was injured when the tractor-trailer they were in allegedly struck an 18-wheeler that was disabled on the shoulder of Highway 84. Paramedics pronounced Soris dead a short time after the collision, while his passenger was rushed to the hospital with unspecified injuries. The driver and passenger of the second 18-wheeler did not report serious injuries.
According to Google Maps, Highway 84 runs north and south through Scurry County, with the scene of the accident about 23 miles northwest of Snyder.
Police are still investigating.
