On or about Monday, November 21st, 2021, around 2:00 in the afternoon, a serious accident between a motorcycle, a car, and a tractor-trailer sent a 51-year-old man to the hospital. Investigators from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 69 just outside Colmesneil in Tyler County, Texas.

Officials from the Texas DPS said 51-year-old Walter Tant was injured when his motorcycle was allegedly struck by cargo that had fallen from a tractor-trailer, pushing Tant’s motorcycle into the path of a nearby vehicle, driven by 16-year-old Michael Good. Paramedics transported Tant to St Elizabeth Hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident. The tractor-trailer did not stay at the scene of the accident.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance south of Colmesneil, which is about 116 miles northeast of downtown Houston.
