On or about Thursday, April 28th, 2022, around 2:50 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle left two people injured. Spokespeople from the KSP said the accident was reported along South Campbell Street in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
Representatives from the Kentucky State Police said 78-year-old Wanda Gilkey was injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck the vehicle she was riding in while the truck was making a wide turn along South Campbell Street. Paramedics transported Gilkey to the hospital with injuries of an unknown nature or severity. Officials identified the driver of the vehicle as Jeannette Gentry.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the collision is at the intersection with Ninth Street.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
