On or about Saturday, May 14th, 2022, around 9:00 at night, a serious accident between a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle left one individual dead. Spokespeople from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Port Arthur, Texas.
Authorities from the area said 32-year-old Wayne Joseph Prosperie was killed when the motorcycle he was driving and a passenger vehicle collided under unknown conditions while driving down Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Emergency responders pronounced Prosperie dead of his injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is near Highway 82.
Police are still working to pin down the cause of the accident.
