Details:
58-Year-Old Lapel resident William Bunnell was killed after colliding with a dump truck at CR 50 and State Road 234 in Hancock County, IN. Deputies from the Hancock Sheriff’s Office say the accident occurred around 10:47 a.m. on Monday, April 14, 2025.
Authorities say the Freightliner was travelling north on CR 50 when it allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign. It then struck the westbound van of Bunnell’s, which did not have a stop sign. Bunnell was pronounced dead at the scene, and the dump truck driver is said to be cooperating with the investigation.
