On or about Monday, October 4th, 2021, around 1:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car left a 79-year-old man dead. Local law enforcement representatives said the accident was reported along Highway 22 just outside Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama.
Authorities from the area said 79-year-old William Ferrell was killed when his car and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances while driving down the Birmingham Highway. Paramedics pronounced Ferrell dead of his injuries a short time after the accident. The driver of the tractor-trailer was uninjured in the accident.
According to Google Maps, the Birmingham Highway cuts north and south through the area, which is situated on the east side of Montgomery.
