On or about Wednesday, January 20th, 2021, around 6:38 in the evening, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer sent a 75-year-old man to the hospital. Law enforcement from the area said the accident happened near 400 East Kickapoo Street in Readstown, Wisconsin.

Deputies from the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office said 75-year-old William Hutchinson was injured when his car allegedly collided with an 18-wheeler that was backing across the road into a driveway. Hutchinson was taken to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries after the accident. Police identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as Gary Kalish, who was unhurt in the accident.

According to Google Maps, Readstown is situated about 163 miles west of Milwaukee.

State and local law enforcement agencies are investigating the accident.
