On or about Monday, May 2nd, 2022, around 11:00 at night, an accident between a pickup truck and a passenger vehicle left a 37-year-old man dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported at the intersection of East Rancier Avenue and North Roy Reynolds Drive in Killeen, Texas.

Representatives from the Texas DPS said 37-year-old William Jimmie Thomas was killed when the passenger vehicle he was driving allegedly ran a red light at the intersection of East Rancier Avenue and North Roy Reynolds Drive. Emergency responders pronounced Thomas dead of his injuries a short time after the collision, but it is not immediately clear if he died at the scene, or if he was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later. The driver and passenger in the pickup truck were transported to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unknown nature or severity.

According to Google Maps, the intersection of East Rancier Avenue and North Roy Reynolds Drive is on the east side of Killeen.
