Details:
On or about Wednesday, December 15th, 2021, around 12:50 in the morning, a head-on collision between two cars claimed the lives of both drivers. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along the northbound side of Interstate 35 in Lorena, Texas.
Deputies from the McLennan County Sheriff’s Department said 20-year-old Warren James Hadley was killed when the car he was driving was allegedly struck head-on by a vehicle being driven southbound in the northbound lanes of I-35. Officials identified the alleged wrong-way driver as 72-year-old Willie David Jackson. Emergency responders pronounced Hadley and Jackson dead of their injuries at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 35 runs north and south through the center of Lorena, which is located about 14 miles south of Waco.
Authorities are still examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
