Details:
On or about Monday, November 16th, 2020, an accident between a car and an 18-wheeler left a woman injured. Investigators said the accident happened near the intersection of Highway 20 and Dunn Road in Jo Daviess County, Illinois.
Police said an as-of-yet unidentified woman was injured when her car was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer traveling the same direction that attempted a U-turn from the right lane. Paramedics treated the woman for unspecified injuries after the incident, but officials did not clarify if she was transported to the hospital.
Examining the area where the accident was reported on Google Maps shows Highway 20 runs east and west with for lanes, while Dunn Road appears to be a single-lane gravel roadway. The area is located a short distance southeast of Dubuque.
Deputies from the Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office are still investigating the crash.
