On or about Thursday, June 23rd, 2022, around 11:20 in the morning, an accident between a box truck and a motorcycle left a 24-year-old man dead. Local law enforcement spokespeople said the accident was reported along Virginia Beach Boulevard in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Troopers from the Virginia State Police said 24-year-old Wyatt Mankins was killed when the motorcycle he was on was allegedly hit by a box truck while he was turning along Virginia Beach Boulevard. Emergency responders pronounced Mankins dead of his injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from the intersection with First Colonial Road.
Authorities are still investigating.
