Details:
On or about Wednesday, July 21st, 2021, around 4:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck claimed the lives of two 25-year-old women. Representatives from the CHP said the accident was reported along the westbound side of State Highway 14 in Weld County, Colorado.
Investigators said 25-year-old Zoee Patchouli Knasel and 25-year-old Alexis Janine Moritz were killed when the pickup truck they were in and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances. Police indicated the tractor-trailer and the pickup truck were driving in opposite directions at the time of the accident. Moritz and Knasel were pronounced dead of their injuries a short time after the collision.
According to Google Maps, State Highway 14 runs east and west through the center of Weld County, which is located about 62 miles northeast of downtown Denver.
Colorado State Highway Patrol assisted local officials at the scene of the accident.
