Details:
On or about Sunday, December 19th, 2021, around 12:30 in the morning, an accident between an alleged drunk driver and another vehicle claimed the life of one individual. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported in the 1400 block of the North Freeway in Houston, Texas.
Officers from the Houston Police Department said 31-year-old Andrew Levy Griffin was killed when the vehicle he were in was allegedly struck head-on by a wrong-way driver on I-45. Paramedics pronounced and dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident.
Police have since identified the driver of the other vehicle as 26-year-old Sarah Gay, who has since been charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter in connection with the accident.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
