A 15-Year-Old male was killed and his 13-year-old passenger was seriously injured after being struck by an intoxicated Jonah Huirton, reports Odessa Police Department. The accident occurred around 2:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at the intersection of Northwest County Road and 42nd Street. Huirton, travelling east, collided with the 15-year-old driver, who was northbound. The 13-year-old passenger was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
Odessa Police report that Huirton is facing charges for driving while intoxicated, with more charges likely. The 2011 Kia Sorrento being driven by the 15-year-old is believed to be stolen.
