A 73-year-old woman was critically injured after colliding with a stopped box truck carrying propane tanks on H-1 Freeway in Halawa, HI, on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. The Honolulu Police Department reports that the box truck had stopped after the roll-up door opened, and the 33-year-old male driver exited the vehicle to close the door. The woman in the passenger van then collided with the rear of the truck and the male driver, seriously injuring him. Authorities are investigating the accident.
