On or about Wednesday, March 30th, 2022, sometime in the afternoon hours, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a school bus sent five students to the hospital. Troopers from the FHP said the accident was reported along U.S. Highway 19 in Levy County, Florida.
Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol said five as-of-yet unidentified students were injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly slammed into the school bus they were in was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer as the students were unloading from the bus. Emergency responders transported five students from the bus to a nearby hospital where two of the five were reported with serious injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Inglis.
Police are still investigating the accident.
