Details:
On or about Sunday, May 8th, 2022, around 4:10 in the morning, an accident between a pedestrian and a train sent one individual to the hospital. Officials from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported on a length of track not far from the intersection of South Presa Street and Avondale Avenue in San Antonio, Texas.
Officials from the Texas DPS said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when they were allegedly hit by a train as they were walking near or made an attempt to cross the tracks. Paramedics transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity. Police did not mention any other injuries stemming from the incident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of South Presa Street and Avondale Avenue is on the south side of San Antonio.
Police are still investigating the incident.
