Details:
On or about Sunday, June 12th, 2022, around 9:00 at night, a serious accident with a suspected DWI driver sent two teenagers to the hospital. Local law enforcement representatives said the accident was reported along Loop 289 in Lubbock, Texas.
Officers from the Lubbock Police Department said 17-year-old Elexa Gray and an as-of-yet unidentified 16-year-old were injured when the vehicle they were in and a truck driven by Cayetano Calzoncit along Loop 289. Paramedics transported Gray and the 16-year-old girl to the hospital with unknown injuries after the accident. Officials arrested Calzoncit under suspicion of DWI after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the crash is at the intersection with 19th Street.
Officials are still looking into the crash.
