Details:
On or about Saturday, June 25th, 2022, around 11:44 at night, a hit-and-run accident between a passenger vehicle and a pedestrian left one man dead. Deputies from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along the Interstate 35 service road in Austin, Texas.
Officers from the Austin Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified man was killed when they were allegedly hit by a passing motorist as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the I-35 service road. After the initial accident, the vehicle fled the scene. Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead of their injuries after the incident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the south side of Austin.
Police are still looking for the driver and vehicle that fled the scene.
