On or about Thursday, January 7th, 2021, around 11:30 in the morning, an accident between an 18-wheeler and a pedestrian claimed the life of a 54-year-old man. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident happened at Tyson Foods at 4700 Highway 75 in Sherman, Texas.
Police said 54-year-old John Hickman was killed when he was allegedly crushed against a loading dock by a tractor-trailer that was backing into place. Paramedics rushed Hickman to nearby Wilson N. Jones Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival.
Google Maps shows Tyson Foods is located just off Highway 75 in Sherman, which is located about 65 miles north of Dallas.
Multiple agencies are investigating the incident at this time.
