On or about Saturday, February 20th, 2021, around 8:30 at night, an accident between a taxi cab and four motorcycles left one person dead and sent three others to the hospital. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened in the 5200 block of Westheimer Road in uptown Houston.
Law enforcement spokespeople said one as-of-yet unidentified person died and four others were injured when a taxi allegedly attempted a U-turn and collided with four motorcycles. Paramedics pronounced one individual dead after the accident, while three others were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the crash.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Sage Road, on the east side of Houston.
Officers expect to release more information at a later date.
