Details:
On or about Thursday, May 13th, 2021, around 10:50 in the morning, an alleged DUI accident between a tractor-trailer, a dump truck, and a pickup truck sent three people to the hospital. Investigators said the accident happened across both the north and southbound lanes of Interstate 29 near the exchange with 32nd Avenue South in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
Troopers from the North Dakota State Police said a tractor-trailer driven by 54-year-old Bryan Foos allegedly struck the back of a dump truck driven by 60-year-old Glen Bergquist in the northbound lanes, before it veered across the median and struck a Chevrolet Silverado driven by 33-year-old Christopher Swenson in the southbound lanes. Paramedics transported Bergquist, Swenson, and Foos to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
Police have since charged Foos with Care Required, DUI, Possession of Alcohol in Commercial Motor Vehicle, Illegally Carrying a Concealed Weapon in connection with the accident.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
