On or about Thursday, May 20th, 2021, around 5:30 in the morning, an accident between a box truck and a car sent one woman to the hospital. Troopers from the WSP said the accident was reported on the northbound side of Interstate 5 in Kent, Washington.
Officials from the area said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was seriously injured when her vehicle was allegedly struck by a box truck while disabled on the shoulder of the Interstate. After the initial impact, the woman’s car was pushed off the side of the interstate into a grassy patch. Emergency responders transported the woman to the hospital with unknown injuries.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 5 runs north and south through Kent, which is about 21 miles south of Seattle.
State Police assisted local authorities at the scene of the crash.
