Details:
On or about Monday, June 21st, 2021, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an 18-wheeler sent two men to the hospital. Deputies from the Sandusky County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported at the intersection of State Highway 18 and Greenwich Milan Towline Road in Townsend Township, Ohio.
Authorities said 45-year-old William Atkinson and 48-year-old Todd McConnell were injured when Atkinson’s tractor-trailer allegedly failed to yield and collided with McConnell’s 18-wheeler at the intersection. Paramedics transported McConnell and Atkinson to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries stemming from the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in connection with the accident.
Officials have since cited Atkinson with failure to yield.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 50 miles west of downtown Cleveland.
Police are still investigating the accident.
