On or about Friday, July 16th, 2021, around 11:29 in the morning, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of a 54-year-old woman from Mountain View. Deputies from the Conway County Sheriff’s Department said the accident occurred on Highway 95 near the intersection with Price Road in Hattieville, Arkansas.
Troopers from the Arkansas State Police said 54-year-old Tina May was killed when her car was hit by a tractor-trailer that allegedly swerved into the southbound lanes of Highway 95 to avoid a collision. Paramedics pronounced May dead a short time after the accident, but authorities did not specify if she died at the scene or if she was rushed to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries after her arrival. No other injuries were detailed in the initial police report.
According to Google Maps, Highway 95 runs north and south through Hattieville, which is about 61 miles northwest of downtown Little Rock.
Police are still investigating the collision.
