Details:
On or about Tuesday, October 26th, 2021, a major single-vehicle dump truck rollover accident sent one individual to the hospital. Representatives from the VSP said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 64 in Goochland County, Virginia.
Police said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was seriously injured when the dump truck he was driving allegedly veered off the side of westbound I-64 and rolled into a ditch a short distance off the pavement. Paramedics transported the truck driver to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries after the crash. Officials did not mention any other vehicles in their initial statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 64 runs east and west along the northern edge of Goochland County, which is about 38 miles northwest of downtown Richmond.
Virginia State Police assisted at the scene of the accident.
