On or about Thursday, December 9th, 2021, around 6:00 in the morning, a chain-reaction accident between two passenger vehicles and a tractor-trailer towing a box truck left three people injured. Troopers from the CHP said the accident was reported along the southbound side of Highway 99 near the exit for Olive Avenue in Fresno, California.
Spokespeople from the California Highway Patrol said three as-of-yet unidentified people were injured when a tractor-trailer towing a box truck and two other cars collided in a chain-reaction accident on Highway 99. Officials did not elaborate as to how the chain-reaction may have started. The drivers of both cars and the driver of the tractor-trailer sustained unspecified injuries, and officials did not specify if the victims were treated at the scene, or if they were transported by paramedics to a nearby hospital.
According to Google Maps, the exchange of Highway 99 and Olive Avenue is a short distance northwest of downtown Fresno.
