On or about Thursday, December 16th, 2021, sometime in the morning hours, an accident between a pickup truck and a garbage truck left one individual dead. Authorities from the area said the accident was reported along the northbound side of Interstate 59 in Trussville, Alabama.
Local law enforcement spokespeople said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when a pickup truck and a garbage truck collided under unspecified circumstances while driving on northbound I-59. Emergency responders pronounced one person dead of their injuries following the accident, but police did not indicate which vehicle the victim was in at the time of the collision.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 59 runs north and south through Trussville, which is situated about 17 miles northeast of downtown Birmingham.
