Details:
On or about Friday, December 17th, 2021, around 2:20 in the morning, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer sent a 26-year-old woman to the hospital. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along the 5200 block of northbound Interstate 35 service road in Georgetown, Texas.
Authorities from the Texas DPS said 26-year-old Alexandria Monique Chavarria was injured when the car she was driving allegedly collided with a tractor-trailer that was blocking the lanes of traffic while backing into a private driveway. Emergency responders transported Chavarria to the hospital with incapacitating injuries stemming from the accident.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was unhurt in the accident, but officials indicated they would be would be cited for obstructing traffic in connection with the accident.
