Details:
On or about Sunday, February 6th, 2022, around 9:00 at night, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a pickup truck left one individual dead. Investigators from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported in the 4900 block of U.S. Expressway 281 in Edinburgh, Texas.
Texas DPS officials said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the Ford Mustang they were in allegedly collided with a Dodge Ram while changing lanes. After the initial collision, the Mustang rolled into the oncoming lanes of traffic. Paramedics pronounced the driver of the Mustang dead of his injuries a short time after the accident. Emergency responders transported the driver of the Dodge Ram to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
According to Google Maps, Edinburgh is about 288 miles south of downtown San Antonio.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
