Details:
On or about Thursday, March 10th, 2022, around 1:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a train sent three individuals to the hospital. Deputies from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported at a crossing at or near the intersection of South Main Street and 7th Avenue in Denison, Iowa.
Spokespeople from the Iowa State Police said three as-of-yet unidentified individuals were injured when a tractor-trailer and a train collided under unknown conditions near South Main and 7th Avenue. After the initial collision with the truck, the train derailed. Paramedics transported the driver of the tractor-trailer and two people on the train to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries after the accident.
