Details:
On or about Sunday, March 27th, 2022, around 9:25 at night, a major accident between two pedestrians and an alleged drunk driver left two people dead. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Westheimer Road in Houston, Texas.
Authorities from the Houston Police Department said Ann and Sederick Barrett were killed when they were allegedly hit by a vehicle driven by Donovan Harris as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of Westheimer Road. Paramedics pronounced Ann and Sederick Barrett dead of their injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene.
Officials have since charged Harris with two counts of intoxication manslaughter in connection with the incident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the southwest side of Houston.
Police are still investigating the accident.
