Details:
On or about Friday, January 14th, 2022, sometime in the evening hours, an accident between two vehicles sent a 20-year-old Burkeville woman to the hospital. Spokespeople from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 63 West not far from the intersection with County Road 168 just outside Jasper, Texas.
Texas DPS representatives said 20-year-old Abby Fancher was injured when her car was allegedly struck from behind by another vehicle when she slowed to make a turn off Highway 63 West. After the initial collision, Fancher’s vehicle veered off the side of the roadway where it came to a stop a short distance off the pavement. Emergency responders transported Fancher to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
Officials identified the driver of the rear vehicle as 18-year-old Quinton Crow, who was cited for failure to control speed in connection with the crash.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 134 miles northeast of downtown Houston.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
