27-year-old Alyssa Gentile was killed following a collision with a tractor-trailer at the intersection of Highway 17 and High Hill Road in Jacksonville, NC, on Friday, January 11, 2025. The North Carolina Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred around 2:00 p.m., when Gentile was attempting to turn left onto High Hill Road and was struck by the tractor-trailer, sending her vehicle into a guard rail and sign. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
