On or about Wednesday, October 13th, 2021, around 5:00 in the morning, an accident between a UPS tractor-trailer and a pickup truck left a 35-year-old Durham man. Authorities from the NCHP said the accident was reported along eastbound Interstate 40 just outside Rose hill in Duplin County, North Carolina.
Law enforcement spokespeople said 35-year-old Cedric Rogers was killed when a UPS tractor-trailer allegedly slammed into his pickup truck, which was either stopped or parked on the eastbound, outside lane of Interstate 40. Emergency responders pronounced Rogers dead of his injuries at the scene of the accident. Police were not sure if Rogers was inside the pickup or if he was standing near it at the time of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Rose Hill, which is about 61 miles east of Fayetteville.
