On or about Wednesday, November 10th, 2021, a major accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle sent a 42-year-old man to the hospital. Troopers from the MSHP said the accident was reported along Highway 63 in Mount Pleasant, Missouri.
Deputies from the Boone County Sheriff’s Department said 42-year-old Douglas Hooper was injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck his car when the truck crossed over the center line of Highway 63. Emergency responders transported Hooper to University Hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries in their statement on the accidnet.
According to Google Maps, Mount Pleasant is about 99 miles north of downtown Kansas City.
Officials are still investigating the accident.
