On or about Tuesday, August 17th, 2021, around 4:10 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian claimed the life of a 46-year-old North Carolina man. Investigators from the DSP said the accident occurred on Highway 13 (Sussex Highway) near the intersection with Brickyard Road in Seaford, Delaware.
Police said 46-year-old Edward A. Hamorski was killed when he was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer as he was walking along or making an attempt to cross Highway 13 (Sussex Highway). Emergency responders pronounced Hamorski dead of his injuries at the scene of the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the incident.
According to Google Maps, Highway 13 (Sussex Highway) runs north and south through Seaford, which is about 83 miles south of Wilmington.
