Details:
On or about Thursday, January 14th, 2021, around 11:00 at night, a single-vehicle bus accident sent eight people to the hospital. State Police said the accident happened on the Cross Bronx Expressway in New York City, New York.
Officers from the NYPD said a bus driver and seven passengers were injured when the Metro bus they were on allegedly veered off the side of the highway and crashed through a barrier. The bus hung precariously over the side of the freeway until rescue personnel arrived. Paramedics transported the bus driver and seven passengers to the hospital after the crash.
The Cross Bronx Expressway runs east and west across The Bronx neighborhood in New York City.
State Troopers and NYPD officers are investigating the accident.
