On or about Monday, June 6th, 2022, sometime in the afternoon hours, an accident between three tractor-trailers and several passenger vehicles sent eight individuals to the hospital. Troopers from the PSP said the accident was reported along the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Chester County, Pennsylvania.
Authorities from the Pennsylvania State Police said eight as-of-yet unidentified individuals were injured when three tractor-trailers and several passenger vehicles collided in a chain-reaction accident along the Turnpike. Emergency responders transported eight people from the scene to area hospitals, but officials did not specify which vehicles they were in at the time of the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from Downington.
Officials are still investigating the cause of the accident.
