On or about Monday, April 25th, 2022, around 4:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a school bus and a pedestrian left a 6-year-old child dead. Officials from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported in the 400 block of Canyon Creek Circle in Parker County, Texas.
Investigators from the Texas DPS said 6-year-old Emory Sayre was killed when she was allegedly hit by a school bus as she was walking in front of the bus as it was offloading students. Emergency responders pronounced Sayre dead a short time after the incident. Officials did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 7 miles west of downtown Weatherford.
